Every year, a protuberance of grasshoppers come to the anthill and wear away what the ants have gathered with respect to them. The "offering", as the ants send for the ritual, is a part of their destiny. One day in spring, when the oblation's preparation has just been accomplished, Flik, unliked inventor ant, accidentally drops the aggregate offered seeds into the river. The grasshoppers arrive and give the ants a backer chance to collect food until autumn. Flik sets off to find bugs that are disposed to fight the grasshoppers (nobody expects him to succeed anyway) and, exactly to a double misinterpretation, returns through a circus crew, giving everybody modern hope. When the misunderstanding finally gets cleared thoroughly, there is only little time left in opposition to a new plan, which has to be, or else...
